"Great Hotel"
The staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and our room had a spectacular view of the waterfront that was awesome to wake up to. We only stayed one night, but I am sure I will choose this place again!

"We went with Bongo."
Great hotel, beautiful room and nice breakfast! 45 minutes by car from Amsterdam. The view is very beautiful (our room was on the 5th floor). The reception is 24/24h available, and so is the roomservice.

"Quiet Hotel location behind sailingharbour"
Pleasant Hotel with beautiful rooms and suites, magnificent view over the Randmeren into Flevoland. Nearby old fisherman harbour. Utrecht and Amsterdam can easily be reached in 30 minutes. A car is necessary for this location. No public transport. friendly service, English spoken. The Hotel has a modern bar and lounge section. In the cellar is a restaurant. breakfast is served on groundfloor with extensive choices.

"Very friendly staff"
The staff was great and the rooms are huge. I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and felt very comfortable. The furniture and in general the hotel is a bit old but it's not too bad. Also they rent bikes for 9 euros for an entire day which is actually a great way to discover a little bit of the city.

"Expensive but high quality"
It was expensive, but the quality is very good. Huge room, comfortable bed, The rooms were clean. The corridor was smelly, like an old lady's house. The rooms with the lake view must be nicer, but our looked to the marina, that was also charming.

Huizen

Walking, cycling and sailing

Het Gooi is a perfect place to walk, cycle, sail, shop and people watch from a sidewalk café. Newport Huizen has a number of interesting hiking and cycle routes for you. Take the time to walk a historic route such as the Huizen Milkmaid (Huizer Melkmeisje) route through the historic centre of old Huizen. Along the route a story unfolds of the young woman who managed to ensure that the people of Huizen did not starve. Walk through historic streets, linger near picturesque spots and farms, and get a sense of what Huizen was like when its residents still wore traditional clothing and grazed their livestock on the common.

Museums

Dutch artist Jozef Israëls spent considerable time in Laren and Gooiland around 1870. Other painters such as Albert Neuhuys and Anton Mauve followed him to Het Gooi. The region still attracts artists to this day. It has museums housing old masters, interactive installations and sculpture gardens - a wonderful mix of classic and modern. The Singer Museum in Laren is the custodian of the legacy of William and Anna Singer, a collection of some 3000 works of art, a museum, theatre and their home and garden, Villa De Wilde Zwanen. Exhibitions are held here regularly. Within cycling distance from the artists’ haven of Laren, you will find Mediapark Hilversum where you will immediately notice the audiovisual museum Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld & Geluid. Discover the world of media in this interactive museum by diving headfirst into the ‘experience’.
